What Is Vasculitis

 

urticarial vasculitis  is an inflammation of blood vessels that occur secondary to the rheumatic diseases and syndromes. It is a very rare condition  caused by an immune system attack its own blood vessels, the arteries for this sample which carries blood away from the heart, veins ( which carry blood to the heart and the capillaries which connect the arteries and veins are primarily affected. It is narrows of closes the blood vessel gets inflamed, then the affected blood vessel stretches and weaken eventually cause aneurism .

Fever, loss of appetite , fatigue and pain are the common signs and symptoms of  vaculitis . When a person is diagnose with vaculitis,  taken into consideration the medical history, and all diagnostic tests, blood tests can point to signs  of anemia.

In a more serious condition there skin becomes reddish spots, experience shortness of breath, occasional cough, weakness and numbness of the extremities, joint pains, arthritis, abdominal pains, ulcers, sinus inflammation, loss of hearing, red itchy burning eyes, head ache and changes in mental function.

Treatment of vasculitis depends on  which organ of the body is mainly affected, its severity and progression  condition is relevant for  prescribing immunosuppresants.  This  drug can treat the overfunction of the immune system. Steroid can also be prescribed for its treatment.  The steroids will strengthen the immune system to be able to let the body fight the disease.

When an individual suffers this kind of disease  he can only get  treatment but not a total cure to it.  The regular treatment can prevent the  progression of the organ and tissue damage.
